Brisbane's 100 Buildings Open House, First Nations Arts Celebrate Summer

Brisbane City Council’s searchable “Events, arts and culture” calendar lists thousands of markets, festivals and community events each year, and the next six weeks are among the busiest on the schedule. Three big-ticket events anchor the immediate calendar. Brisbane Open House runs July 18-19, 2026, giving the public behind-the-scenes access to nearly 100 significant buildings across the city, according to the council’s event listings. The James Street Food + Wine Trail follows on July 26, a free community event featuring award-winning chefs and leading venues from the James Street precinct. Then on July 29, the Night Feast culinary and cultural festival begins its 2026 run, continuing through August 23.

Clancestry, the Queensland Performing Arts Centre’s First Nations arts celebration, runs July 30-August 8, 2026, offering concerts, workshops, theatre and children’s events. The Mongolian Naadam Festival 2026 is scheduled for a Saturday in July at Whites Hill Reserve, featuring traditional sports and cultural displays.
